Think of the materials as one product
An attractive frame and an attractive timber surface do not automatically make a complete design. The appearance, access and behaviour of the connections need to be considered together. Agreeing the top dimensions and the visible metal areas early helps plan the fixings.
Discuss the assembly sequence
If a fixing can only be reached before the top is fitted, the assembly sequence matters. Clearance for fasteners, access for the installer and transport conditions should be reviewed at the drawing stage. These details are particularly relevant when furniture must be dismantled and reassembled.
Surfaces and contact points
Visible welds, profile ends and floor contact points are part of the design. Share colour and finish expectations through a sample or a clear specification. Where possible, physical samples make agreement easier than screen images alone.
